Absent coach Pang Cheh Chang still drives Ahmad Redzuan at BWF World Juniors
Malaysia opened the BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships in Cairo with a 2-0 win over Slovenia, and Ahmad Redzuan credits the advice of his recovering coach.

Malaysia began its campaign at the BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships in Cairo, Egypt, with a 2-0 win over Slovenia on Monday, 5 October. Mixed doubles player Ahmad Redzuan Zulwaqqarizal said coach Pang Cheh Chang was on his mind throughout.
Pang, 52, is not with the team. He is still recovering after being hospitalised when he nearly collapsed at the national U-18 championships in Alor Setar three weeks ago. Redzuan said the team was not unsettled, because the coach's advice is still fresh: stay calm, take one match at a time, and don't look too far ahead in the draw.
Redzuan arrived in Cairo as the reigning Asian junior mixed doubles champion. He named Hoon Thien How and Hazwan Jamaluddin, along with Pang, as coaches who keep reminding him to play without putting extra pressure on himself.
