China Beat Thailand to Set Up World Junior Team Final Against Malaysia
China defeated Thailand 2-0 in the World Junior Team Championships semi-finals in Cairo, setting up a final against Malaysia.

China have advanced to the final of the BWF World Junior Team Championships in Cairo after a 2-0 semi-final win over Thailand, setting up a title match with Malaysia. The Chinese side came from behind early on at the Cairo Stadium Indoor Halls Complex before taking both games in the tournament's relay scoring format, where players across five disciplines add points to their team's total.
Eighteen-year-old Yin Yiqing said the match was difficult because China were trailing when she stepped on court, but that thorough preparation for the team format helped her stay in control and manage the pace. Her teammate Luo Jingyu, also 18, admitted he struggled in the men's singles and credited the strength of the Thai team, adding that he would give everything if selected for the final.
Malaysia had secured their own place earlier in the day with a 2-0 win over Indonesia. The Suhandinata Cup team competition runs from 5 to 10 October in Cairo and is followed by the individual championships.
