Malaysia Beat Estonia 2-0 to Secure a World Junior Team Medal
Malaysia's juniors swept Estonia in the Cairo quarter-final and are guaranteed at least a bronze medal.

Malaysia are guaranteed at least a bronze medal at the World Junior Championships in Cairo after a 2-0 win over Estonia in the mixed team quarter-final on Wednesday (Oct 7). They were rarely troubled at the Cairo International Stadium.
Tiew Wei Jie opened with an 11-7 win in the boys' singles, and the girls' doubles, girls' singles and mixed doubles stretched the lead before Redzuan and Isyraf Hafizin Ibrahim closed the first game 55-35.
The second game followed the same pattern, with Wei Jie winning 11-6 and the final boys' doubles finishing 55-20 for Damien Ling and Irfan Shazmir. Malaysia now meet Indonesia in the semi-finals on Friday (Oct 9) with a place in the final at stake.
