Hoo Pang Ron-Lai Pei Jing Edge Germans to Reach French Open Semi-Finals

Malaysia's mixed doubles pair Hoo Pang Ron and Lai Pei Jing are into the semi-finals of the 2026 French Open after a tight three-game win over Germany's Marvin Seidel and Thuc Phuong Nguyen. The quarter-final at the Grand Paris Arena lasted 57 minutes, with the Malaysians taking it 21-17, 20-22, 21-18.

It is the third time this season that Pang Ron-Pei Jing have made the last four of a Super 750 event, following semi-final runs at the Denmark Open and the China Masters earlier in 2026.

Next up are China's sixth seeds Guo Xin Wa and Chen Fang Hui, who came from a game down to beat Denmark's third seeds Mathias Christiansen-Alexandra Bøje 12-21, 21-9, 21-9. The semi-final will be the first ever meeting between the two pairs.
