Lee Zii Jia seeks court injunction against father and sister over LZJ Management

Malaysian badminton star Lee Zii Jia has applied to the Kuala Lumpur High Court for an interim injunction aimed at stopping his father, Lee Chee Hin, and older sister, Lee Zii Yii, from making major financial and management decisions at LZJ Management, the company set up to handle his career and business affairs. The summons, filed on 2 July, also names his younger brother Lee Tao and the company itself as respondents.

According to the application, Zii Jia wants tighter control so directors cannot approve extra pay, bonuses, asset sales, new share issues or ownership changes without proper oversight while the family dispute continues. His family is opposing the move; his father has said court action is unnecessary, and it remains unclear whether the injunction has been granted. Zii Jia is currently ranked No. 42 in the world by the Badminton World Federation.
